| 2004 Florida Keys Gold Cup Sailfish Championship Results |
59 Anglers competed in the 2004 Gold Cup for the Championship Ring! A full field of 25 teams participated in this year's event. Angler Robert Richardson released 15 fish to win the coveted Championship ring for a second time. Team Sandy Cove, the winners of the Islamorada Sailfish Tournament, remained consistent during all three events to take First Place Team. Their names will be engraved on the perpetual team trophy that is displayed at the Islamorada Fishing Club. Once again, Pursuit Boats and Caribee Boat Sales joined the Gold Cup sponsorship list for this year to make this event the best ever. All money raised in the Florida Keys Gold Cup Sailfish Championship benefits the Islamorada Charter Boat Association. 228 sailfish were released over the three events.
